Bright Minds Festival

Rothwell Workshops

The Bright Minds Festival is your premier activity for Grades 1 to 6 students in Brisbane. The festival seeks to 'engage-inspire-unite' bright young learners, empowering them to become tomorrow's leaders, innovators and change-makers. 

Workshops include: Robotics, Science, Art, Mathematics, Micro:bit Programming, Virtual Reality, Orienteering, Sizzling Sport, Creative Writing and more! 

ALL workshops are free. Bookings open Friday 22 March and close Sunday 12 May.

Fantastic workshops are available to suit different age groups:

  • Junior Workshops: Grades 1 - 3 students
  • Senior Workshops: Grades 4 - 6 students

During the festival, all attendees will participate in:

  • an introductory session
  • a workshop of their choice
  • a closing ceremony with free gift bags



On the day

Parents/guardians are to return to the College Chapel at 1:00pm to collect their child. Students must be signed-out by their parent/guardian at that time.

The º«¹ú³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ º«¹ú³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ College Open Day follows the Bright Minds Festival at 1:00pm. All attendees are welcome to stay on to view the events, performances and displays.

Additional information will be sent to all ticket holders prior to the event. You do not need to print your tickets – we will have registrations rolls ready. 

Instructions for Parents/Caregivers

Families may book tickets from Friday 22 March until Sunday 12 May 2024. Tickets are limited, so be sure to secure your space before they are gone.  

Please note, each child must be booked and registered in a separate transaction so that we have all the medical information allocated to the correct child

On the day, student registrations will open at 10:40am at the College Chapel. Please arrive no later than 10:45am to park and sign in your child. Printed tickets are not required. The Bright Minds Festival staff will have registrations rolls ready.

Location

The Bright Minds Festival is an initiative of the º«¹ú³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ º«¹ú³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ College Academic Enrichment department. All workshops take place onsite at our Rothwell Campus. 

The º«¹ú³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ º«¹ú³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ College Open Day will also take place after our Bright Minds Festival.
